The Sweetwater Cabin is ready to receive your family and friends. You'll just want to remember a few things:
  • You will be deep in the woods, surrounded by the river's peace and solitude, so bring all of the food you'll need for your stay. Grilling is always a hit. And with an outdoor campfire pit, state park type barbecue grill, and even grilling gear for the fireplace, you'll want to bring lots of things to cook over the coals.
  • You'll find fishing gear for the kids, but will probably want to bring your own trout rigs if you are a serious fisherman.
  • All bedding and linens are supplied, though you may want to bring a couple of sleeping bags if there are more than 6 people in your party.

A camera or two can come in awfully handy. You may wake to find deer feeding right outside the kitchen window or turkeys "displaying" to their own reflections in your car's chrome bumper in the parking area. If you have small children, you'll want to bring life vests and have them wear them anytime that they are around the river. And since the river’ll surround you...that's all of the time! The river can be swift and, although typically only a few feet deep, its "holes"—famous for holding Brook, Brown and Steelhead trout—must be respected.
  • Long pants, long sleeved shirts, boots and your favorite sweater will always be welcome at the cabin, no matter what the season or weather forecast. It is, after all, nature's constantly variable conditions that remind us of her power and majesty.
